LikeMinded likeminded-records.com is a new DnB label which is being launched with the new double CD from RELEASE.

After many years of limited availability on the second-hand market, all of the classic tracks from RELEASE are back, re-mastered and compiled onto a double CD set, titled The Spirit of Space and released on LikeMinded Records. 17 tracks in all, including rare and previously unreleased tracks from 1992/93."

Back in the early 90's these guys ran Contagious Records www.discogs.com/label/Contagious+Records+(2) which put out the hits "Dance In Eden" and "Spirit of Space EP" back in '92. The new CD is a compilation of all the early tracks from RELEASE, along with never-before-released original tracks and remixes. First time ever on CD, and completely re-mastered from the original DAT’s.
As one of the earliest and most successful acts signed to the Contagious Records label in the UK during the early 1990's, RELEASE stood out along with other well-known artists of the time as pioneers of the breakbeat hardcore scene that was to eventually evolve into drum & bass. Consisting of Nigel Broad and DJ Rush Puppie, the band's first single, 'Dance In Eden', became a classic anthem, played at raves and festivals all over the UK and Europe during the summer of 1992. After several remixes by Interface and Sy-Kick, the band released the 'Spirit of Space' EP. Another success, this 4 track EP carried the band into 1993. After parting ways with Contagious, Nigel and Rush Puppie hooked-up with Deep Seven Records to release another single - 'The Jungle' c/w 'Musical Movements', in late 1993.

LikeMinded is also collaborating with Ninety-two Retro in the UK to bring select tracks from the CD to limited edition vinyl this summer.

Going forward, new material from RELEASE will be out later this year on LikeMinded. Currently also soliciting for new artists, LikeMinded will be ramping up for a hopefully busy 2009.
